MONCTON
- March 27, 2008 marked Dooly's third annual Giving Hope Gala Celebration and a third installment of $100,000 to the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute toward reaching our goal of donating $1 million to this important Institute. The Atlantic Cancer Research Institute is Atlantic Canada’s largest and most important cancer research facility. Operating one of the most elaborate, modern biomedical research laboratories in the region, the Institute has built an impressive research capacity creating both economic and health benefits for the Atlantic region.

The research team is working to better understand the underlying causes of cancer, notably breast cancer, how to prevent it and, ultimately, to develop new treatments to improve the outcome of those affected by it. Dooly’s fundraising campaign is called Giving Hope and is supported by the efforts of Dooly’s owners, managers, staff and customers in all Dooly’s locations across Canada. All Dooly’s give $1 from every new membership sold to the program and various fundraising activities are held at Dooly’s across the country in a collective effort to raise this money. Molson Canada has also come on board as a major supporter of Dooly’s Giving Hope campaign.
